QUESTIONS

## Frequently asked questions

### What is ARTSVP?

ARTSVP is event software made for the art world. Galleries, art fairs, artists and cultural institutions use it to publish event pages, sell tickets, send personal invitations, keep one live guest list and check guests in at the door.

### Who is it for?

Anyone who hosts art events: [galleries](https://artsvp.com/solutions/galleries) running private views and collector dinners, [art fairs](https://artsvp.com/solutions/art-fairs) with VIP previews and hundreds of exhibitors, [artists](https://artsvp.com/solutions/artists) opening their studios, and museums, foundations and non-profits with a programme of talks and openings.

### How much does ARTSVP cost?

The Free plan costs nothing and includes 50 confirmed guest bookings a month. Pro is £49 a month, or £468 a year, with 250 a month. Expert, sold on annual billing, is £1,908 a year, with 500 a month. Each guest beyond your monthly allowance uses one credit, at £0.49, and sending invitations is free. [Compare the plans](https://artsvp.com/pricing).

### Can we sell tickets and take payments?

Yes. Connect your Stripe account and every payment goes straight into it, with Apple Pay and Google Pay on the phones that support them. ARTSVP's booking fee applies to paid tickets only: 7% on Free, 5% on Pro and 3.5% on Expert, and 3% on donations. Stripe's processing fees are separate.

### Can we keep an event invitation-only?

Yes. Every plan can keep an event private, with no public link, and add a password to its page. Pro and Expert add personal invitations with tracked replies, and let you approve each request before a place is confirmed.

### How do exhibitors invite their own guests?

Through portals, on Expert. You give each exhibitor or partner a portal with an allocation of places, and they invite their own guests from it. Their invitations stay private to them, and each guest joins your guest list when they book, marked with who invited them. Each portal uses 150 credits, once.

### How does check-in work at the door?

Your team welcomes guests from the live guest list on a phone or tablet. Pro and Expert add QR scanning: each door gets a scanner, a link that opens on any phone with no staff login, and every door checks the same live list, so a ticket used at one door is refused at the next.

### Do guests need an app or an account?

No. Guests book from your event page in a few taps and receive a confirmation email with add-to-calendar links and a link to their ticket. Turn them on for an event and tickets carry a QR code for the door and an Apple or Google Wallet pass.

### Will ARTSVP work with our other tools?

Every guest list, attendance report and sales report exports to CSV. Expert adds the REST API and webhooks for teams that want to connect their CRM or website directly. [About the API](https://artsvp.com/docs/api/overview).

### Can we try it first?

Yes. The Free plan needs no card, and Pro and Expert both come with a 7-day free trial. The [documentation](https://artsvp.com/docs) covers every feature if you would like to read ahead.
