Singing to the Nanomeadow: In Conversation and Nature Ritual

On the occasion of the Inaugural London Art + Climate Week and our exhibition, in spirit and truth [come closer and see] join us for an informal conversation, exhibition walkthrough and creative nature ritual with artists Yelena Popova and Alice Kemp accompanied by a sound piece by Yuichiro Kikuma.

Ecologically conscious in their practice, inspiration, and everyday life, the artists will discuss their work and the importance of nature and creativity as a metaphorical space for hope and healing.

The event will close with a mini ritual and workshop where participants will be encouraged to “grow their own nanoflower” to create a Nanomeadow inspired by the works in the show, historical and contemporary practices and their own personal narratives.

in spirit and truth [come closer and see] brings together works by eight international artists whose practices have a shared connection with the elemental within an intentional, precise, often self-referential structure set free by an openness to what is unknowable. Within our fragile entanglement with the natural world, at a time where finding an anchor and grounding feels imperative, the exhibition posits a path forward, not through escapism or reactionary nostalgia, but through acceptance of opposites and the dynamic process of change which is essential for sameness to exist.
