Introducing custom booking links

Today we have introduced custom booking links. These are designed to make it easy to generate multiple links for the same event page for the purpose of tracking the source of bookings.

How custom booking links work

Custom booking links work for both public and private events. You can create as many booking links as you want. Once created you can use distribute these links and keep track of the source of bookings easily.

Personalise the link

Each custom booking link can have a friendly url rather than a random string. You cana therefor make links that are human readable making it easier to make sure you are distributing the correct link to the correct source.

For example if you are creating a link for a partner you can easily make sure you are emailing them the right link just by looking at it.

When to use custom booking links

It is a great idea to use different links for your website, social media and also marketing campaigns. Each link will track the number of clicks and bookings made through each link allowing you to see where the most bookings come from at a glance.

Custom booking links vs. Invites

Custom booking links are designed to track bookings from individual source where you do not have the details of those who are booking prior to them visiting the link.

Invites on the other hand are designed to be locked to an individual who you have the details of to provide a fully end to end personalised experience.

NB. Multi use invites were previously used to perform some of the functionality of custom booking links. We realised multi use invites were not optimal so built out booking links as a stand alone feature.

Advanced features

Limiting the use of a custom booking link - once a booking link has been created you can click on it to edit the maximum number of bookings that can be made through the specific link

Tags - Any booking made through a custom booking link will inherit the tags associated with the booking link
