Scanning tickets increases the flow rate of people entering large events and provide accurate real time check in data for organisers and venues.

Configuring scanners

Scanners can be configured to scan tickets linked to any event. Most larger events are generally made up of several smaller events with different booking flows and settings.
For example you may want to create a scanning configuration to scan all VIP tickets for the VIP day and then another scanning configuration to pick up all complimentary tickets and all public tickets on the public days of an event.
Another reason you may want different configurations is if you have different areas of an event that should allow different tickets and passes to be scanned.
 

How to configure a scanner

From the dashboard in your ARTSVP account you can click the scan tickets button. From here you can select all the resources (events or collections) whose tickets you’d like to scan.
 

Scanning from any bookings view

You can also scan tickets directly from an bookings view. This includes the following views:
  • All bookings view (will scan all bookings within a Space)
  • Event bookings view
  • Collection bookings view (scan any booking from Events that are contained in the Collection)
The main reason to do this is for smaller events where you might be using an iPad to check guests in but some want to have their ticket scanned.
 

How to scan

ARTSVP generates unique links that can be shared with your team to scan with. Anyone with these links will be able to use their smartphone or tablet to scan the tickets set to the link configuration.
There is no need to have an ARTSVP account to scan tickets. The link is not indexed so is very secure.
 

What can be scanned

ARTSVP generates tickets with QR codes.
These Qr codes are distributed in:
  • Emails
  • On the ARTSVP booking page
  • And can be added to Apple or Google wallet.
The scanners will pick up all of these tickets.

What devices can I use to scan tickets

ARTSVP have built the scanning mechanism to work with any device that has a camera and an internet connection.
 
We recommend using:
  • iPhones
  • iPads
  • Android phones
We also recommend using devices with mobile data as event wifi can often be sub par in some locations.
