Talia Golchin

Talia Golchin is a London-based artist. Her work spans painting and sculpture, exploring themes of the body, intimacy and desire.

Her sculptures, the Umbilics, are soft latex forms that explore femininity and life. Her recent paintings slip into private moments, catching figures lost in thought or on the edge of something daring. Throughout the work, a desire for life recurs as a quiet undercurrent, held variously in the circular form as a symbol of rebirth, or in the fragile, translucent skin of an egg yolk passed between two mouths.
