An intimate experience

For one week in October, the whole art world is in London. Collectors see hundreds of works at Frieze and meet almost none of the people who made them. Meanwhile, artists work a few miles away and rarely get the chance to show what they do in their own space.

This programme is built to close that gap. ARTSVP is opening a selection of London studios to collectors and the international art community, and giving artists the tools to host these visits themselves, from invitations and scheduling to the contacts that come out of them.

Every artist was visited in the studio and chosen for the quality and clarity of their practice. Nobody is here by chance.

Studio visits & ARTSVP

ARTSVP has spent years building infrastructure for more than 100 international art fairs and 3,000 galleries. Now it is bringing that experience directly to artists.

Artists are expected to run a small business on their own: inviting guests, following up, keeping track of collectors, and making it all look professional. Art businesses have teams and systems for this. Most artists have a phone full of contacts and a spreadsheet they stopped updating months ago.

ARTSVP is building the tools to change that, so artists can host their own studio visits and events, manage their own collector database, and send invitations as polished as any gallery’s. The relationships stay with the artist.

The Frieze Week studio visits are the first step.

If you would like to open your studio in the next programme, or be among the first to use these tools, get in touch.
