— Ellen Schneiderman, Executive Vice President, Special Events and Individual Giving at Henry Street Settlement.
The Art Show, an annual event organised by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA), raises vital funds for the Henry Street Settlement, benefiting social services, arts, and healthcare in New York. The fair gathers top galleries to showcase curated exhibitions, fostering close interactions between artists, gallerists, and attendees. The Art Show has raised over $37 million for the nonprofit through more than three decades of partnership between the two organisations. The collaboration between the ADAA and Henry Street allows for the creation of an unparalleled art experience that supports integral services for over 50,000 New Yorkers each year.
How ARTSVP adapted to support a premier fundraising event
While ARTSVP is typically known for its work in art fairs, The Art Show posed a unique challenge with its fundraising component, requiring a ticketing solution that could handle not only guest registration but also seamlessly incorporate donations. For the occasion, our team has worked to adapt the system to fit the needs of this iconic gala event, without losing the smooth user experience ARTSVP is known for.
Personalisation of the ticketing page
To ensure The Art Show’s success, we added several personalised features to the ticketing page. A dedicated donation section was included, allowing guests to contribute additional funds while purchasing tickets—a crucial aspect for a fundraising-focused event like this one. Additionally, the platform featured customised fields such as "Invited By" and "Publication Name on Donors List," providing an opportunity for donors to be acknowledged in meaningful ways. This level of tayloring helped make the ticketing process not only functional but also deeply engaging for high-profile attendees.
Elegant ticketing solutions
Beyond the donation integration, ARTSVP also streamlined both VIP and public ticketing, aligning everything in a united system. From individual tickets to configured tickets for sponsors, the platform provided an elegant, unified solution that made it easy for attendees to register. ARTSVP's intuitive design ensured a smooth guest experience, keeping in line with the sophistication of The Art Show, while simultaneously meeting the logistical demands of ticket sales and donor management.
Ticket configuration to maximise donations
The platform allowed for the creation of donation-specific ticketing categories, encouraging attendees to contribute generously while reserving their spot at the gala. This flexibility not only simplified the donation process but also maximised the event’s fundraising potential, helping The Art Show raise significant funds for Henry Street Settlement’s programs.
ARTSVP’s tailored approach to The Art Show demonstrated the platform’s versatility. By integrating customised donation sections and streamlining ticketing, ARTSVP provided an elegant solution that enhanced the guest experience and, most importantly, supported the event’s fundraising goals. The success of The Art Show showed that ARTSVP can adapt its platform to meet the needs of diverse events, from traditional art fairs to high-end galas and fundraising efforts.
