After Mexico City, Los Angeles and Madrid taking the centre stage in last month's contemporary art market, art professionals are preparing for another busy month. Given the uncertainty of large-scale events in the last two years, we've decided to dedicate one of our weekly articles to a monthly art fair calendar. Need to know what's happening this month, which events are taking place, and which ones have been cancelled or postponed? Look no further!

1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair has cancelled its fourth Marrakech Edition for the second year in a row due to uncertainty of travel restrictions that would have not allowed worthy experiences at the level of previous editions. However, the fair's team assures the public that 1-54 Marrakech will be back as soon as conditions allow it.
The Outsider Art Fair, which was supposed to open its doors in New York at the beginning of last month, preferred to postpone its 30th anniversary to the 3-6 March 2022. In occasion of this special celebration, the fair will feature special guest-curated shows including a major presentation of psychedelic art curated by artist Fred Tomaselli and a presentation of works from the collection of Michael Stipe.
Art Basel Hong Kong, which habitually takes place at the end of March, has postponed its opening to 25 May in response to the pandemic situation and HK regulations. Art Central Hong Kong has followed suit, and will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the same week.
Even TEFAF Maastricht (Netherlands), an unmissable event for the art world and antiques community is renouncing its usual spring opening, shifting its dates to later in 2022. Originally scheduled for March 12-20, TEFAF's Board of Trustees, in agreement with the Executive Committee (also formed by 13 dealers), has rescheduled the event to Jun 25–30 amidst mounting concerns around the global volatility of COVID-19. This will be one week behind Art Basel in Basel, and right before Masterpiece in London: get ready for a restless June!
