Tickets and Pricing
All plans
A ticket is what a guest actually books: free entry, paid admission, a day pass, a VIP place. You create tickets in the wizard’s Tickets step and manage them later under the event’s Settings → Ticketing tab, and an event can offer several ticket types alongside purchasable extras and promo codes.
Tickets are free until you connect Stripe under Settings → Payouts; after that, you can charge. A booking fee applies to paid tickets: 7% on Free, 5% on Pro, 3.5% on Expert.
Anatomy of a ticket
- Ticket Name — shown on guest tickets, receipts, and reports (“VIP Preview”, “Day Pass”).
- Form Label — the wording guests see next to the ticket on the booking form. Leave blank to use the name; the default is “Number of People”.
- Entry Type — Single Entry tickets check in once; Multiple Entry tickets can be scanned again on re-entry (for example, a fair pass).
- Price — what guests pay per ticket, in your venue’s currency. 0 makes it a free ticket; paid tickets have a minimum of 1 unit of currency. An event charges in one currency only.
- Ticket design — which ticket and wallet-pass design this ticket uses. The default is a plain white ARTSVP ticket. See Ticket design.
The advanced settings
- Short Description — a line of context under the ticket on the booking form.
- Min per booking and Max per booking — bounds for one booking.
- Total quantity — how many of this ticket exist across the whole event; blank means unlimited.
- Guests per ticket — how many guests one ticket admits; group tickets admit more than one.
- Entry time — printed on the ticket when it admits at a set time, independent of the slot booked.
- Active — inactive tickets are hidden from the booking page. At least one ticket must stay active.
Tip: On a fair, create separate ticket types for each entry tier (VIP Preview, Public Day) rather than one generic ticket. Check-in staff then see at a glance what each guest holds.
Extras
Extras are purchasable add-ons sold alongside tickets: a catalogue, a drinks package, a tote. Each has a name, price, and optional limits, like tickets. Guests pick them on the booking form; you can also add one to an existing booking from the booking page. See Bookings.
Promo codes
Promo codes give a percentage discount at checkout — fixed-amount discounts are not supported. Create codes per event (“ARTFAIR20”); guests enter them on the booking form.
Tax
Tickets can carry a tax rate, shown as a line item on the booking. Configure it in the ticket’s settings where tax is enabled for your organisation.
One thing to be aware of across all paid tickets: refunds are not processed automatically when a guest cancels — handle refunds from your Stripe dashboard.
