A studio visit runs to a different rhythm from an opening: one collector, one hour, an unhurried conversation. Appointments, consultations, tours, and viewing appointments all work best as a Custom Slots event — you offer the times, guests choose one, and each slot carries its own capacity.
Build the schedule
- Create an event and choose Custom Slots.
- Add each appointment’s start and end time as its own slot. A booking window that runs to midnight must end at 23:59 — 00:00 is read as the start of the same day.
- Turn on Limit Capacity and set Capacity per Slot.
- Set Max per booking to 1 for individual appointments, or higher when a collector may bring guests.
- Add a free ticket named for the visit, or a paid one when payment is part of the booking.
Two things worth knowing as the diary shifts: ARTSVP does not synchronise Custom Slots with an external calendar, so when availability changes elsewhere, update the ARTSVP schedule to match. And reducing a slot below its existing bookings does not cancel those bookings.

Put it in front of guests
Send personal invitations Pro & Expert to selected guests, or create a booking link for a concierge, an artist, or a public appointment page. Every confirmed booking reduces the chosen slot’s remaining capacity.
